Source of the Water

In Chinese, we have a saying "Think of the source, when you drink the Water". In that way, you can enjoy and understand the full flavour of the water and learn to respect each others.

I have met many so called "Martial Artists" my art is better than your Kung Fu and etc...

Any serious Martial Artist would have studied the founder martial art background in his or her chosen art.

Because by drinking Japanese or Korean or Thai water, it does not mean that water source didn't pass through or even came from China.

China never claim all martial arts are originated from China, but there is facts that many systems are either direct or indirectly influenced by Chinese over 5000 years old system. (As a matter of facts, China civilization has indeed influenced many system around the world, not just in Martial Arts).

Of course, through evolution of Martial Arts system many has added local falvour or some even became unique system. That is the beauty of Martial Arts evolution.

So next time before you challenge other arts, you have to find out your source first. And also which Kung Fu system, because there are hundred of Kung Fu Systems.

Anthropologist claim we are all children of africa, what do you think?

Formula 1 and Martial Arts

Many students have asked me is this martial art system is better than this one or that one?

In order to win in Formula 1, Racing driver depend on a smashing Car, So does car depend on a smashing driver. If a racing driver lose the race do you blame the car or driver or both. e.g BMW, Ferrari and etc... is rubbish or Mr Driver is rubbish.

So does in martial arts, car is like the art you are performing e.g Karate, Kick boxing, Kung Fu and etc...
Racing driver is like martial artist who represent his or her chosen art.

In car, no matter how good is the car, if you put a bad driver, he or she will not win. Same in martial arts, no matter how good is the art, if you put a bad martial artist to perform or compete he or she will not win.

So it wouldn't be fair to say, Karate can not win Aikido and Aikido can not win Kung Fu and etc...
A good car needs a good driver and a good martial art system needs a good martial artist.

So rather focus on wining the fight, you have to win yourself first!

Description by BF1.

Myanmar Lethwei. Myanmar Traditional Boxing is a form of kickboxing which originated in Myanmar. Lethwei is in many ways similar to its siblings from neighboring South-East Asian countries such as Tomoi from Malaysia, Pradal Serey from Cambodia and Muay Thai from Thailand. If Thai Boxing is the science of 8 limbs, then Lethwei can be called the science of 9 limbs, due to the allowance of head butts. In comparison, Lethwei can be interpreted as being bolder and more extreme. Myanmar boxers are said to be slightly bigger and taller than their Thai counterparts. The techniques are a bit slower and stronger than in the other Southeast Asian kickboxing forms. There are records recording Lethwei style matches dating back to the Pyu Empire in Myanmar. Ancient Myanmar armies successfully used Lethwei, Bando and its armed sibling Banshay in winning many wars against neighboring countries. Participants fight without gloves or protection, wrapping only their hands in hemp or gauze cloth. Fights are traditionally held outdoors in sandpits instead of rings, but in modern times they are now held in rings. Popular techniques in Lethwei include leg kicks, knees, elbows, head butts, raking knuckle strikes, and take downs. Matches traditionally and ultimately would go until a fighter could no longer continue. In earlier times, there no draws, only a win or loss by knockout. No point system existed. Extreme bloodshed was very common and death in the ring was no surprise. Nowadays in the match, if a knockout occurs, the boxer is revived and has the option of continuing; as a result, defense, conditioning, and learning to absorb punishment are very important. Myanmar boxers spend a great deal of time preparing the body to absorb impact and conditioning their weapons to dish it out. Matches today are carried out in both the traditional manner and a more modern offshoot started in 1996, the Myanma Traditional boxing. The modern style has changed to make the contests more of an organized sport under the government's organization. It should be noted that the modern style of Myanma Traditional Boxing greatly resembles Muay Thai in its sporting outlook, and not quite the rougher and tumble fighting of its rural roots.

P.s It wouldn't be fair to say Muay Thai is weak compare to Bando Lethwei just because of this result, as we all know the quality is not about the art, but about the practitioners. Myanmar and Thai has long history of boxing, compete with strong opponents we both can learn from each others. If you want to be the best, you have to fight with the best.

Respect to all martial artists.

Chinese Freemasons and Kung Fu

The sodality of Freemasonry that evolved out of the European Enlightenment bears no resemblance, other than the name, to another society—one that finds its origins in Southern China. Styling itself in English as The Chinese Freemasons, this body might be better termed the Vast Family (Hongmen) or Fine Public Court (Chee Kong Tong).

As Chinese Freemasons developed in oversea, they also brought Hung Kuan Kung Fu with them.
